Currently I offer guitar classes in Behala, Kolkata (offline, home-based lessons) as well as online classes across Kolkata, India or abroad for students who prefer flexible learning from home.
2. What age group can join your music lessons ?
I teach children (7+ years), teenagers, and adults (no age bar) . Whether you’re picking up the instrument for the first time or returning after a break, my classes are tailored to your level and pace.
No, I usually keep kids and adults in separate groups to make learning more effective. However, adults and teenagers may sometimes learn together if they are at the same level.
4. Do I need to own my instrument before starting classes ?
Yes, you’ll need your instrument for both online and offline lessons—not only for the live class but also for practicing at home. If you don’t already own a instrument, I’ll personally guide you in choosing the right model based on your budget and playing goals. You can also check out this blog "How to Choose and Buy Your First Guitar : A Beginner’s Guide" for more details.
5. In how much time can I play songs clearly or perform ?
The time it takes to play songs smoothly depends on your practice and consistency. In my classes, I first help you build a strong foundation with basics—chords, rhythm, strumming, and finger techniques. Once these fundamentals are clear, you’ll be able to move to the next level and start playing songs more confidently. With regular practice and proper guidance, many students are able to play simple songs within a few weeks, while mastering advanced techniques comes with continuous effort. Remember: the more you practice, the faster you’ll progress and perform with confidence.
6. Can I join the classes if I’ve been playing for 1–2 years but feel I’m not learning the right way ?
Absolutely ! Many intermediate students come after playing for a year or two but feel stuck or unsure about their progress. My lessons focus on correct technique, proper finger positioning, music theory, rhythm practice, and building confidence so you can break bad habits and grow faster. Whether you’re self-taught or switching from another teacher, I’ll create a personalised learning plan to take your skills to the next level.
7. I can't attend offline classes, how can I join online ?
I conduct my online classes via Google Meet and WhatsApp video calls, available in both 1:1 lessons and small group sessions. This allows you to learn guitar comfortably from anywhere. All you need is your instrument, a stable internet connection, and headphones for the best experience.
You can also choose a hybrid mode of learning – if you usually attend offline classes in Kolkata but cannot be present due to travel, emergency, or being out of station, you can easily switch and join the same session online without missing progress.
8. How long is each class ?
Each session typically runs for 45–60 minutes. Depending on your level, we’ll balance theory, practice, and performance-based learning.
9. Do you provide trial classes ?
Yes, I do provide a trial class at Moods of Melody, but it is not free. The trial session is available for just ₹199, which ensures that my time, effort, and preparation are valued while still keeping it highly affordable for you. In this class, you’ll get a real taste of my teaching style, playing techniques, and learning environment, helping you decide if it’s the right fit before committing further. If you decide to continue after the trial, the amount you paid will be adjusted against the regular monthly fee. This ensures you get a fair start with no extra charge for trying.
10. How can I join your music classes ?
You can simply call me directly on the contact number provided on my website or Google listing for admission, followed by filling out the enrolment form. Calling ensures faster communication and smooth admission. I recommend avoiding messages, as replying might get delayed or not always be possible. However, if calling is not feasible for you, you may message me, and I’ll respond as soon as I can.

13. What happens if I miss a scheduled class ?
